Generations Rising is a new blog that my wife, Malissa, and I have created. This blog accompanies our new Sunday school class, which is also called "Generations Rising". It is designed for ages 18-30, and it meets every Sunday morning from 9:30am-10:30am. The class will also have outings each month, so our class can get out, have some fun, and get to know each other.
Beyond the Sunday school class, though, Generations Rising is significant of where we are in our lives right now. God has called each of us to live each day in worship and to serve Him with our lives. We want to encourage the church, meaning those people that make up the church, to rise up and live for Christ.
Philippians 1:27 encourages the church to "conduct our lives in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ". We believe if we live our lives in pursuit of holiness, Christ will be glorified, and the Spirit will be able to work in and out of us to accomplish God's will.
It is the simplest plan, but it is the true way. Live every moment for Christ to bring glory and fame to Him. Rise up and live in the manner that He longs for us to live. And, if a generation rises up this way, our world will be forever changed for the kingdom of God. It's an amazing work, but it is our purpose of existence, our path to satisfaction, our sacrifice to the One that died for us. So church, rise.
